The Grease 2 Collection
In June of 2021, I connected with the brilliant folks over at Super Yaki, the incredible shop that specializes in products for cinephiles. As a fan of their work (I own practically their entire line of Josie and the Pussycats merchandise), I reached out to see if they would be open to me designing a line dedicated to the tremendous work of art that I’ve adored since childhood, Grease 2 starring Michelle Pfeiffer. They loved the idea, and we hit the ground running. I created a collection that I’m very proud of, and the rollout connected me with tons of fellow Grease 2 fans, including the incomparable Yvette Nicole Brown and comedian Jake Fogelnest! I could just die! I will sing the praises of Super Yaki, and I am truly honored that I was given the opportunity to design a collection for them.
OSCAR THINKING
The Oscar Isaac Shirt
When the costume designer for Scenes From A Marriage tweeted out those photos of Oscar Isaac I felt… inspired, to say the least. So, I grabbed my iPad and doodled a tribute to the world’s hottest man. I tweeted out the finished project and my friends at Super Yaki saw it and thought it needed to be on a t-shirt. I couldn’t disagree with them, who wouldn’t wear this man on their shirt with pride?!
AMERICAN TEEN PRINCESS
The Drop Dead Gorgeous Collection
As a long-time fan of the 1999 film Drop Dead Gorgeous, I was psyched when Super Yaki agreed to let me take a stab at a collection for them based on that film. With a movie that endlessly quotable and with shot after shot of iconic imagery, it was so difficult to settle on the final pieces. I’m super proud of the collection we developed together for this film, and the response was just as warm and thrilling as the previous designs I’ve worked on with Super Yaki.
